EDA offers a range of information on eating disorders and related issues including details of specialist treatment available throughout the UK. It also offers training for professionals in health, education and social care. I have been on the EDA referral list for more than ten years.
The BACP is the United Kingdom equivalent of the ACA. It registers
accredited members through its UK Register (see below) and operates
a complaints procedure and code of ethics.
I am a member of the ACA, the predominant counseling body in the United States. It offers a code of ethics and a range of affiliations to specialty groups.
The National Eating Disorders Association came into being in 2001, when Eating Disorders Awareness & Prevention (EDAP) joined forces with the American Anorexia Bulimia Association (AABA) to create what they claim is the largest eating disorders prevention and advocacy organization in the world.

I am registered as a counselor by the UKRC, the leading register of accredited counselors operated by the BACP.
I am registered as a psychotherapist and group psychotherapist by the UKCP, the leading umbrella organization for psychotherapists in the United Kingdom. It operates a register of accredited practitioners and acts as a central coordinator for such matters as codes of practice, complaints handling and ethics.
I am a member of the IAMFC, the leading international body concerned with relationships in families and in marriage partnerships.
I am a professional member of the AHP, the USA association with an international membership focused on the theories and practice of humanistic psychology.
I am a member of the ILCT, the leading international life coach training organization for counselors, therapists, psychologists, social workers, and human resource professionals.
I am accredited by the UKAHPP, the world's only independent accrediting body for practitioners who use the theories of Humanistic Psychology in their work.
